Project Summary
In September, 2022, Rhonda Smith put together an exhibit at TAG/The Artists Gallery in Frederick. This show featured a series of 12 linoleum prints that honored the students of Storer College in Harpers Ferry, WV (a historically black college). Rhonda found the original photos her prints were based off of in the West Virginia University archives.
I helped Rhonda promote her show by providing a window banner, two posters, vinyl lettering for the gallery wall and twelve mix-and-match social media graphics. I provided Rhonda with two sets of social ads to test. One set included a single graphic with all of the content she requested. The second set broke the content into two carousel graphics so it would be more digestible.
The promotional pieces were designed to reflect the time period Storer College was open. Each deliverable has a vintage off-white background color and the font is reminiscent of old typewriters or block prints.
